International compilations

Hacia Dos Veranos has been featured on two international compilations: the first one has been released by the Mexican label M olecula Records and it is called "Granada vol 2". It features our song "Despertar" (from "Fragmentos de una tarde somnolienta"). You can get "Granada vol 2" for free buying any of the label's CDs.

The second compilation is called "Let it bee" and it has been released by the Italian label My Honey Records. It features "La última tarde del apicultor", an unreleased song that will be also on our full-lenght debut. All songs on the compilation have a common theme, namely bees and/or honey. H2V released in the UK & Europe

Our EP debut "Fragmentos de una tarde somnolienta" has been released in the UK & Europe through I Wish I Was Unpopular, a division of Unpopular Records, a British indie label that has also released such fantastic artists as Lovejoy and The Clientele, among others (we thank Alasdair from The Clientele for having recommend us to Unpopular!). "Fragmentos de una tarde somnolienta" has been released in Europe in a 3"CD-R edition with artwork from Alistair Fitchett (or one of his Art students). Here you can see the front cover (it's beautiful!). Thanks to Alistair and all the people at Unpopular and Tangents!

Sticky songs

“Canciones pegajosas” ("Sticky songs") is the name of a compilation released recently by the Argentine e-zine ZonaIndie under Creative Commons licence. It includes songs from many Argentine indie rock groups, such as Voltura, Lara La and Sync Filmico. "Canciones pegajosas" can be downloaded freely from its website.
Our song "Despertar" is the opening track.

The Italian ezine Indiepop.it has published a very elogious review of our record "Fragmentos de una tarde somnolienta". You can read it here (in Italian). We have translated the text:

"Argentina is lighting (the adjective "Argentinian" does not indicate only the origin) and Hacia dos veranos, a splendid surprise that justifies making a visit to their website. The three pieces of what we will consider here their debut single are absolutely exciting as well as purely instrumental; they play like if the Clientele had become a weird hybrid of post-rock and progressive. Drums, bass and guitar, all extraordinary, interwoven luxuriantly, create a greater effect than that of a whole orchestra. Not even a passage here is out of place and the creative tension is always high. The only possible fear is that not possible LP can make even the ingratiating magic of "Prelude" and "Sueño"... Nevertheless we have the duty and the right to believe it. Meanwhile, go immediately and download what, without too many doubts, will be my favourite single of the year. A matter of taste, of purpose, of chemistry. In possession of better qualities, artists don’t often arrive to these heights. Extraordinary, I have not other words."

"There goes winter"

The song "Preludio", from our EP "Fragmentos de una tarde somnolienta", has been included in "There goes winter", an indie rock compilation by Kidart. The record includes many Argentine artistas, as well as Peruvian, Chilean and American. It costs 5 pesos and can be buyed by e-mail.

"There goes winter" will be presented live on 18 November in El Fino teathre, in Buenos Aires. Hacia Dos Veranos will be playing a short set (4 or 5 songs).

Hi. Since we are having a lot of feedback from non-Spanish speaking countries, we decided to make an English version of our blog. Soon we will be posting more news.
